CREATING A CENTRE FOR community and SPORTING EXCELLENCE.
DEVELOPMENT PROGRESS
OUR PROJECT
Ashbourne has been demanding major investment in sports and community use on Ashbourne Recreation Ground for many years. Through dedicated community volunteer action, with the support of local sports teams, local authorities and our main funding sponsors we are now completing the new 'Pavilion in the Park' as a hub for community and sporting excellence.
The Pavilion is on target for completion in late December with a new education and well-being programme starting in the new year, 2022.
Our aim is to boost the local community and develop Ashbourne into a sporting hub for surrounding areas, and ensure that it is a centre for sporting excellence within Derbyshire and Staffordshire.
The new Pavilion demonstrates the power of community action to Invest in Ashbourne. Hopefully it will be the start of the broader regeneration of the town through the Government's new Levelling Up Fund Initiative.
