Ashbourne Cricket Club

A long established local cricket club that fields two senior teams within the Derbyshire County Cricket league and has a strong junior section providing coaching and matches for young people between 6 and 15 years.

Ashbourne Aztecs Football Club

 A thriving football club in Ashbourne and are affiliated to the Football Association. In 2013 the club was accredited as a ‘Charter Standard Community Club’, having teams in all age groups ranging from under 7’s – under 18’s. Playing in the following leagues: Derby City Football League / Derby Junior League, Burton Junior Football League and Derbyshire Girls and Ladies League.


St Oswald's Primary School 

 A school ethos that is based on partnership development to ensure that children develop skills to become independent lifelong learners and responsible citizens.  Their involvement will enable children access to valuable outdoor play space linked to sports development, learning and citizenship.


Derbyshrie Dales District Council 

As current owners of the Sports pavilion are responsible for Planning Permission and for any re-development.


Zone 6

Zone 6 aims to promote a positive image of the youth of Ashbourne and the surrounding area and to encourage the active participation of youth in sport, learning and healthy lifestyle. 


Ashbourne Football Club

Formed in May 2009 by merging Ashbourne United FC and Ashbourne Town FC. In the intervening years AFC has competed in several local leagues and recorded a respectable number of successes.

Currently the Club runs three teams: men’s first team, men’s reserves and ladies'. We have a membership of approximately 60 people.


Ashbourne RUFC 

Based in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, regularly fields 4 teams and has a thriving Junior section. 



Ashbourne Hockey Club

Provides a wide range of training sessions and matches to cater for all levels of commitment and ability from Junior ages to women’s and men’s hockey.




Mayfield Football Club

Formed in 2001 and now have a number of age group teams through to senior men. All of our sides are strongly supported by an enthusiastic group of managers and coaches trained and certified by the FA at level 1 and 2 status.



Ashbourne Town Council 


There are 13 members of Ashbourne Town Council who are volunteers held accountable by local people for things that happen locally.
